Goals and tasks of the network

The main goal of the network is coordination and consolidation of research potential of Polish research institutes and including them into international research activities within European Research Area. Further evolution should aim at close cooperation of the established network with industry - with large international companies as well as MSE branch networks, commerce and technical associations.
     It was assumed, that in the year 2004/2007 the network activity will be directed to the following special areas:
Phase I (Polish Network of Excellence Production Processes - SDPP) - especially aimed at domestic activities, with consideration of 6th Framework Programme and structural funds,



Phase II (the International Network of Excellence Production Processes - ProNet ) - especially aimed at international activity, dedicated to participation at 7th Framework Programme and European Technological Platforms (however, domestic activity is still important).



The network will care about preparing domestic and international projects, organising trainings, workshops, conferences, exchange of experts, consultants as well as organising other common technical and economic undertakings. The next goal is establishing a network of small and medium enterprises in Poland, which will cooperate with the ProNet network.

Currently the established network cooperates with associations of producers (for example Technical Association - Plastic Materials (STTS), Association of Automotive Parts Producers (SPCIM) ) , SIMP as well as with chambers of commerce (for example Lower Silesian Chamber of Commerce (DIG)).

The primary detailed goals of the network are:
- Realisation of projects within international research programmes within 6th and 7th Framework Programme,
- Co-establishing technological incubators as well as innovative spin-off companies,
- Development of new structures, research areas in Poland as the result of: projects supported from structural funds, as well as establishing international consortia and research institutions within ERA,
- Proposing and evaluating strategic directions of industry development, especially in branch machine building and innovative market products,
- Being active and using research and implementation potential within technological platforms of EU 6th and 7th Framework Programme,
- Realisation of common research projects financed by Polish Scientific Research Committee,
- Realisation of research and implementation projects for industry
